Program production specifics If you hire JDC to produce the program, we are prepared to walk you through the entire process and provide consultation necessary to "get the ball rolling!" Thereafter our services would be comprehensive and inclusive, and here is how I see us assisting South Hills. Specifically JDC would perform the following for a package rate:
1. Consult with the church to achieve the best original recording of your services.
2. Guide you in the recording sessions for special programs. Initially this would involve a JDC producer working with you onsite at the church.
3. Guide you in planning upcoming programs and provide a log of all programs including message topics, references, features, resource offers, etc.
4. Divide recorded messages at logical points, and build reviews where appropriate or necessary.
5. Edit all recorded materials including for time, relevance to the radio audience, and according to any special instructions from South Hills. Our advanced technology and expertise will give you programs that are logically and evenly constructed and, as much as possible, 'self-contained'.
6. Process the audio to help alleviate quality problems when and where they occur. Audio levels will be evened out for consistency so that the message can be heard in a typical listener environment. We have heard a number of programs over the years where this is not done, and the result is lost material (from the listener's perspective) and a distraction that detracts from the programs impact.
7. Create an archive of each program on CD.
8. Draft announcer copy.
9. Provide an announcer for opens, closes, and program promos. The announcer's comments will be drafted to dovetail with the message content. That is, the announcer's opening comments will flow smoothly into the message and enhance the message. His comments following the message will do likewise.
10. Send a CD of each program to the station (additional stations would be an extra charge, per station). JDC also has the ability to connect remotely with radio stations all across the country, including the Salem stations in San Francisco at CD quality (or even better), should the need ever arise (there is a modest additional cost for phone toll charges).
11. Consult with South Hills regarding program content, placement of series, resource offers, etc. Postage, phone (except calls to South Hills), additional music, tape duplication, additional CDs or CD duplication, are additional expense items
